CLEARWATER, FL – In his first postseason start, Jordan Viars delivered the biggest hit of the year, a two-out triple to help the Clearwater Threshers (3-2) comeback to beat the Jupiter Hammerheads (3-1) 3-1 in game two of the Florida State League Championship Series on Tuesday night at BayCare Ballpark. The series will be decided in a winner-take-all game three on Wednesday night in Clearwater.

Two hits in the second, including an RBI double by Mark Coley II, gave the Hammerheads an early 1-0 lead. The score remained 1-0 until the sixth, when Zach Arnold led off the inning with a single off Jupiter reliever Collin Lowe. He moved to second on a balk and then to third on a single by Chad Castillo. Ricardo Rosario rolled a potential double-play ball up the middle with one out in the frame, after the Hammerheads got the first out, Rosario slid headfirst into first base and was called safe, allowing Arnold to score from third and tie the game at one.

After Jordan Dissin reached on an error, Jordan Viars cleared the bases with a triple to extend the lead to 3-1. After getting out of a bases-loaded jam in the eighth with a strikeout, Estibenzon Jiménez struck out the side in the ninth to seal the win at 3-1 and force a winner-take-all game three.

Jean Cabrera (2-0) allowed one run on five hits with one walk and six strikeouts in 6.0 innings to earn the win. Estibenzon Jiménez earned the save in the final 3.0 shutout frames with two hits allowed two walks and six strikeouts.
